Reno Int'l Airport
October 9, 2017
Airport GC was the lead general contractor for American Airlines, Airline Ticket Office (ATO) remodel at Reno International Airport.
With the merger of American Airlines and US Airways, airport leased space needed to be renegotiated, integrated and renovated to reflect the new American brand. At Reno International Airport, Airport GC managed the American Airlines -US Airways space integration.
Airport GC demolished the existing offices and rebuilt them from the ground up to serve the American Airlines ticket agents, all materials and processes reflective of American Airline’s corporate standards.
New spaces were framed out to create offices, storage, breakroom and a conference room. The project was done in two phases to cause minimal disruption, the break room remained functional and accessible for 95% of the project.
In addition to new framing, drywall, electrical/data, ceilings and flooring Airport GC also redesigned the existing sprinkler and HVAC systems. The breakroom received new millwork, plumbing fixtures with a ceramic tile backsplash.
At the end of the 8-week project, American Airlines employees were fully moved into a completely fresh, remodeled space.
